Why among people who don’t know each other? Why digital? What happens when electricity grids fail / the internet goes down, which will become more likely as supply chains are broken by war, biosphere destruction, warming, mass migration etc? We have the tools to build commons in communities, with real people, and then connect communities together (OK, this also requires electricity / internet), but could possibly be done (especially in community) with pen and paper if needs be. I think knowing each other is really important – building real human relations, as well as commoning real things in communities, like housing, energy infrastructure, means of exchange etc.
Mind you, if this could replace corporate social media platforms, great. People do seem to need those, regardless of whether I get it or not.
